Coal's music has been described as "smoky, sultry and eerie
all at once" (Impact), |
|
Since the formation of Coal in 1990, the group has released a full length self-titled CD and cassette on indie label Zulu Records (currently distributed by Polygram), and a single on Vancouver's Mint Records CD e.p. "The Mint is Still a Terrible Thing to Taste", featuring a torchy cover of Motorhead's "Ace of Spades". Coal has recorded a live performance on CBC Nightlines' Supersessions (hosted by David Wisdom), and have recent tracks included in a new Vancouver independent feature film, "The Widower", to be released in 2001. |
